The Hitchhiker's Guide to the MBTI (Part 3)
Thinking (T) and Feeling (F)
In short, Thinkers tend to be logical while Feelers tend to be emotional.Thinkers hold objective values:
• Toughness & stoicism
• Competition & personal achievement
• Justice & equal standards
• Direct confrontation & debate
• Skepticism & critique
Feelers hold subjective values:
• Gentleness & sensitivity
• Cooperation & group welfare
• Mercy & equal outcomes
• Social harmony & agreement
• Encouragement & acceptance
Thinkers benefit society by rewarding productivity and holding people accountable. Their weakness is being callous or uncaring. They can trample on others' feelings and perspectives in their quest to be right.
Feelers benefit society by advocating for the vulnerable and under-privileged. Their weakness is being taken advantage of. They can enable bad behavior and let people walk all over them in their quest to be nice.
